Lake Tobias

Today we ventured to La.ke T.obias for lots of cute animals, a safari ride and petting zoo. Wow were we disappointed. It wasn't as great as we thought it would be and Delilah could give two craps about the animals. The petting zoo sucked and the safari was more like a ride to look at lots of birds (emus, ostriches & something else I can't remember the name of), cows (as John said), deer, and llamas. Joy. Plus there were lots of people there to piss us off. The best part of the whole trip was when we got Delilah her consolation "prize"- a stuffed kangaroo with baby joey :-)

We're going to T & Ds Wild Cat park next Saturday- we like it a lot better.

Tomorrow is Knoebels and we're actually excited- first Knoebels trip of the year, Delilah is older, and we're going to take her on a new ride.

The Safari Ride:
The zebra looking things are zeedonks, the white bird is a male bird keeping an eggie warm, and llamas. I don't know what the other things are.

Too bad your trip wasn't great...I did enjoy the pics though. Today was wonderful, so that sort of made up for yesterday. We had a good time, but Pappy and I are both pooped!

I really was going to try to keep up with whole blogging thing but I've totally been sucking. I just have no ambition. Both of the girls are doing great. Delilah just finished preschool today. We had a rough start but it got better. And then she went back to the crying beforehand and giving John issues. She was very happy to learn today was her last day and promptly requested she go to a new preschool. Which she will be in September. Agap.eland! I am so excited for her to begin there. I think (hope) she'll like it a lot more and she'll learn lots of new things. I just hope we don't have the same issues with the new place as we did with the old place. Tatum is growing in leaps and bounds. Recently she's been trying to blow bubbles with the bubble toy grammy got her. Almost a month since I last blogged- where does the time go? What to write about? I have no idea. Basically things are pretty boring. We've just been doing what John does while I work... going to Target for our weekly Target visit, going to the marina when it's nice, visiting John's parents. We've also visited Ash & the boys for some play dates. Other than that it's been low key which is nice since I only get three months with Tatum. Don't get me wrong I know I'm lucky to have the time I do with Tatum but I just wish I could have six months with her. My mom has since stopped coming during the weekends as I can lift Delilah again. It's not too bad actually- I was worried about it but I'm surviving. I've even been able to get them places by myself. Usually just to visit John at work or for our weekly Sunday visit to my parents.
