Quackie & Quertie

Image
I swear I'm quackie... there's this book called Gossie & Gertie that Ashley had found at Walden Books when we were at the mall the other week. It was super cute but there was only one so I decided I'd look for it online (I forgot). We were at Border's today & I remembered the book but forgot what it was called. I'm thinking ducks... Quackie... Quertie... nothing... So I had to give Ashley a call & see what the frig it was called. Yea, it sure as heck isn't Quackie & Quertie LoL So we've been wondering what color hair she's going to end up with. It's blonde but there are parts that look almost like they're brown. Then today when I made the comment to my mom about what color we wondered her hair would be, she pointed out that there's also some red in it (John's dad said so too- I think earlier this week- but I had forgotten until Mom said something) and there totally is. It's this really subtle tint but it's there ...

There's a hair in my butthole

Well not in my butthole LoL So this afternoon after our trip to Walmart John had just parked the car. He says to me that this morning when he was changing Delilah's diaper he saw a hair in her hinnie (very very possible since I'm balding- well not really but I feel like I am!). He goes to pick it off but it's not coming off. He grabs a hold of it & yanks on it- out of her hinnie (sp?) hole it comes. That just reminds me of like if a dog would eat tinsel at Christmas time & go to poop and there it'd be hanging out of its butt LMAO Delilah did really well today on our trip out. When we go out we pack her up in the car seat in the car and then switch her to her infant carrier once we get to our location. Usually she complains or cries until we take her out (a habit I'd like to break because I know that she knows if she fusses we'll take her out). But today she was so good & didn't make one peep. She just looked around having a grand old time i...

Grandparents are truly grand

Image
So you always hear about my parents & see pictures of my mom and dad with Delilah. But you never hear about John's parents. Not because we don't love them but usually because I don't really have any stories about them. Monday we went to John's parents for a visit- usually we go Saturdays but with John's mom's work schedule we usually only get to go for 2 hours until we have to leave to put Delilah to bed. Like usual she gave PapPap the lip and cried a bit. I think as far as the crying, she was just tired. Little munch has been giving us problems with naptime . For some reason she always gives PapPap the lip and we just can't figure it out. Mary picked up John's niece, Khloe , and nephew, Trey, on the way home from work. Those two are so silly. Khloe has been giving big girl undies a go and as a result her pants don't stay up. The new fashion of the season is butt crack LoL I was sitting next to Trey on the couch & he says to me "You...

Baby Love

Every Sunday we go to my parents' for a visit & dinner. This has been a ritual since I moved in with John 6 years ago (wow!). It's so great seeing my parents with Delilah and feeling the love radiate off of them. My mom & dad are just so in love. It's such a refreshing sight seeing these two wonderful people who raised me to be the woman I am today interacting with their first grandchild (from me, as my half-sister has 2 children) Today we captured some pictures of my dad (and a video or 2) as well as a few others. I am truly a blonde

Image
Even though my hair is dyed black, my true blonde showed through today. I was supposed to take my friend Rebecca to Lock Haven today for a state civil service test. Now, I know I have to go through Lewisburg but since I was yapping instead of paying attention to my driving I went the wrong way. Instead of going 11/15 North I went 11/15 South. Ugh! So we missed the test since by the time I realized it we only had a 1/2 hour to get to Lock Haven. We've rescheduled for March 3rd and this time I ~will~ go the right way. Yesterday we decided to put Delilah in her exersaucer... the age is 4 months & since she'll be 4 months next Tuesday we figured we'd go ahead. She didn't quite know what to think & soon after putting her in it I knew the tears were going to come (that's right, the lippy). Below are some pics for you all the enjoy of her first time in the exersaucer.

Shawn & The Little Blue House

Today Ashley, Shawn, Landon, Delilah & I went up to Williamsport for lunch & shopping. First we stopped at Red Lobster... I've never eaten there before & it was about time I tried it! It was ~so~ good- a little expensive but definitely worth it for the amount of food. After Red Lobster we went to Toys R Us where the promise of the purchase of a little blue house was soon to be granted. Shawn had seen this little blue little people house in the magazine that came yesterday. So adorably he kept asking last night "Blue house?" Luckily they had it in stock! Delilah also made out with two toys. It was buy 1 for $19.99 or higher and get 1 up to $19.99 for free... I couldn't pass up on that deal! I got her this little piano thing that plays two songs & had 3 instruments w/arms & faces that move when you push the corresponding piano keys. I also got her a little tea pot set that teaches numbers, abc's & manners and comes with a tea pot (of course),...

Booga Booga Boo!!

Today John, Delilah & I all went over to Auntie Ashley's. We had lots of fun playing with Shawn & Landon and Ashley made a yummy supper for us (thanks again Ash!). Landon & Delilah had fun interacting together & exchanging some smooches. Our little ones are just the cutest together! We're going to arrange for them to be married one day & we can be in-laws LoL Of course, we won't be ~those~ types of in-laws some people have ;-) The best part of the visit was when Auntie Ashley made Delilah laugh! Finally! She's been trying for forever and while she was taking pics, she got Delilah to giggle :-D Well I did it- I sent in my letter telling my place of employment that I'm taking off until April 27th instead of March 23rd. With some help from my mom (ok, ok she wrote the whole letter) a letter was drafted, approved & printed out. We sent it off on Tuesday. Now I'll just be worried for a week or so that everytime the phone rings it's J calli...

Hey there Delilah

Image
Today is President's Day... so, my mom had off from work. John, my mom, Delilah & I all went up to Williamsport to partake in the yummy food at Olive Garden. And boy was it! Afterwards we went to check out the baby clothes selection at TJ Maxx (an upscale crappy rendition of Value City). They had absolutely nothing- a crappy selection in both the clothing & the toys. What a joke! From there we went to Kmart. I have to say that I thought our Kmart was crappy but this one takes the cake! Fortunately we found some nice clothes for Delilah (all 12 month+), a new toy (one Marta turned me on to that she got for Landon & Delilah seemed to really enjoy), a cute touch & feel animal book, and some new socks. All the clothes were on clearance that we got. One in particular was $7- it was a shirt & pant set. The pants however were missing so I took the opportunity to ask for a discount. I asked but the cashier said she 'd have to see if they could give a discount becaus...

Let's go for a walk

Image
The other day my friend, Ashley, invited me to go for a walk. I packed Delilah in to the car (yes, I was going to drive to Ash's instead of walking because I didn't want to walk home after our walk heh) and headed over to Ash's. After getting all the kids in to their respective strollers off we headed. It was soo beautiful that day & since it was Landon's first time in the "big boy" part of the stroller Ashley took some pics. We made our way to our usual route (from walks taken when Shawn was just a little newborn babe) but also ventured elsewhere. Down we went to Packer Street where Ashley soon spied a cemetary... and where we decided to go awalking. Some may think it's morbid to take the babes through a cemetary but truly it's a place of serene peace. Plus there's no cars, no hoardes of people, and it's quiet. It's nice to see when people come & decorate their loved ones tombs... the dead still have visitors. Today Auntie Ashley c...
