Questions

So I'm going to steal this from the other gals' blogs I read... not that many people read my blog I'm sure & those that do might not have any questions because they know me so well but if you have any questions ask me! I'll answer them on Saturday :-)

Nose Boop

Image
The day before yesterday I was holding Delilah & I asked her where mommy's nose was and she pointed to it! Then John asked her where daddy's nose was and she pointed to his too!! We're still trying to get her to find her own nose :-) Yesterday we went to visit Uncle Aaron & Uncle Tracy. On the way there I was showing Delilah how to give high fives with an open hand. I showed her a few times and then I asked her if she could give mommy a high five. And she did!! Earlier today I asked her for a high five again and again she did! It's so great seeing them learning to do the things you've showed them :-D Uncle Aaron cooked dinner for us & John and I supplied dessert (unfortunately something store bought since we didn't have time to make anything ourselves). It was a 3 layer chocolate cake. For some reason- even though I vowed to John after the icing tasting at Auntie Ashley's that she wouldn't have anything else like that until her birthday- I de...

Look at this girl

Image
Look at this beautiful, loving, happy, funny, kiss giving, huggable, loveable girl.... who in their right mind wouldn't want to be a part of this darling baby girl's life? She is the most happiest, loved little girl I know. She's funny & sweet. Loves her daddy. Loves her mommy. Loves her Pappy & Grammy and Auntie... and all the people who care enough about her to be in her life & love her. I could just play the day away with her. Life is so much better with her. No matter what happens in our lives there is always her. We will always do what's in her best interest. My beautiful boo Trying to get her to "rawr" in the stacker like Daddy

Today we went to my parents' for our weekly visit. This weekend my brother was there. The last few times he hasn't been able to hold Delilah- although he has been able to get smiles out of her. Today he tried holding her & she reached back to me pretty much right away. Later after we were in the living room me on the floor playing with her, Roger in the chair, he tried holding her again. This time she let him! And he carried her in to the kitchen for lunch time. After she was fed he held her some more & I got a few pics. I guess 2nd chances aren't for everyone. A branch was extended to talk & refused. We tried & that's all we can do. Even if we didn't want to we knew it was right. But we can't try with what's not there. I guess it's ok to say the things that were said & to act the way they acted. We're the ones that are wrong apparently... we're the ones who were disrespectful & disowning. And we need to get over it... yea...

New chances

Today John, Delilah & I went to visit an old friend of mine. We've had our problems but for some reason after she tried contacting me 3 times (we hadn't talked in quite awhile) I responded back. I don't know why or what I expect except that I just want to try to be friends. We went to her son's soccer game today- it was so cute. A bunch of 4 and 5 year olds running around a soccer field trying to score a goal. What a sight! Delilah usually is pretty apprehensive about people but she smiled for Jess pretty much immediately. At one point she kind of reached for Jess so I handed her over. She let Jess hold her for seriously a second & was holding her arms out to come back to me. This happened about 2 more times at the field. Afterwards we went back to her house to hang out a little. This is where Delilah decided that Jess could hold her & not just for one second but for quite a bit longer. Jess's son was just the most amazing, gentle, sweet little guy ever ...

A New Me

Image
Well sort of.... so a few weeks ago I was looking in the mirror seeing the blonde roots that had grown out contrasting the black. I'm sooo tired of dying my hair! Even though I don't necessarily like my natural color I decided to go back to it so I don't have to dye it anymore. I didn't tell anyone- not anyone at work, not my bestfriend even (of course John knew & my mom and dad since I needed her hair dryer LoL). I thought it would be a piece of cake & would be done in a weekend. Then I was going to surprise everyone by going in to work blonde. I started off looking up online how to go about it without ruining my hair. I found an article suggesting a hair dye stripping kit & a SUPER deep conditioner. I went to Walmart and bought Cholesterol cream (the super deep conditioner) hair dye stripping kit (which looked like it was there from the 70s due to the pics of the models LoL), and some blonde hair dye. That night I tried out the hair dye stripping kit- yea ...
