Yesterday John, Delilah & I went to lunch yesterday before I my appointment to have my tattoo finished. Delilah wanted some of my water and I put some in the straw to give her. Then I wanted to see if she could drink some from the straw. No luck. But after a few more tries- success!! What a big girl *sniff sniff* Today we all went to Lowes for some weed blocking stuff and mulch. On the way the one street where a former friend lived that was little 2 minutes away, was taped off. There were cop cars everywhere- city, staties... and something that looked like a coroner's car. John said there was probably a murder. I was like don't even say that or we're moving like now! Later when we went out again we saw the news car. Upon tuning in to the news at 6:00 we learned there was indeed a murder. It was a domestic dispute apparently. The woman was killed- the man was in critical condition. It's scary... and a shame... two people lost their lives today. On a happier note- I g...

The other day John and I decided to buy Delilah some play-doh. Her pediatrician gave us the idea at her last appointment and we were excited to try it. Needless to say she wasn't as excited as we were and it didn't go very well. We put her in her high chair and John cracked open the first canister of play-doh. We dug it out and plopped it down on the tray. Everything was fine until she tried to eat it and I pulled it away from her mouth. She started crying and wasn't stopping so I picked her up and comforted her until the tears stopped. We tried giving it to her again while I held her and again she tried eating it so I just let her put it in her mouth because I figured we should get it over with. As soon as she stuck it in her mouth she took it out and started crying again. Yucky salty stuff! Nothing else really new is going on- this weekend is a busy one. Today was a day for cuteness- o wait, that's every day! After I got home from work and supper was eaten we all went in the living room to play. Delilah was playing on the floor when she got this horrible look on her face and I thought something was wrong. Then she seemed fine. That's when John noticed a wet spot on the floor. We discovered it was pee- and we're thinking that's what the horrible look on her face was for. Stinkin' diaper leaking... her onesie was also wet so we let her run around the rest of the night sans onesie. Being cute as usual she insisted on having her pants put on her head to become Delilah Pantshead! Later after we had read her bedtime story she & daddy were laying next to eachother. John was pretending to sleep by snoring and blowing the air out so it ruffled her hair. He stopped and looked at her when she mimicked him. It was so cute hearing her "snore"! Last night before putting Delilah to bed we were all sitting on our bed as we usually do about to read a story. Delilah pointed to the remote to the fan and I asked her if she could say please. Clear as day a "Pease" came out. I handed her the remote and asked her if she could say thank you. And she did! This morning she asked for something and I asked her if she could say please. Again she said "Pease". I asked for a thank you as well and she said thank you. Then I said, "Aww- you're welcome." To which she responded "You're welcome"!! It's so stinkin' adorable when they can't yet say the words properly. It makes politeness cute! Delilah also knows more body parts- she knew eye and nose but she now knows ear, tongue, belly, foot and hand! She loves trying to put on her socks, shoes & pants- although she gets mad pretty quickly when they don't do what she wants them to do. She has about as much patience as mommy did whe...

Monday was a very special day- it was the day Delilah got her first pair of shoes! My mom and my grandma came down so we could go to Lee.ser's. With no morning nap and a stranger shy baby I knew it was the formula for trouble. We get there and she was fine while the sales lady measured her feet. The sales lady then comes back with 3 pairs of shoes- 1 velcro and 2 laced. I suggested trying the velcro ones first since I really didn't want the laced ones because I knew Delilah would just untie them. As soon as the sales lady put on one shoe the water works began. The shoes were on, I liked them, so I said that those were good. The poor thing- every time the sales lady came any where near her after, even if it wasn't for her, she started crying. So we get home & feed Delilah lunch then come in the room to play a little before a nap. I tried putting the shoes on her to see if she'd walk around with them but she wasn't having it. Valentine's Day has rolled around once again and to celebrate this Valentine's Day John surprised me with a lovely bouquet of roses! They were delivered yesterday but heck I'll take them 1 day early :-D We also got Delilah a gift- this adorable puppy from the Buil.d a Bea.r Work.shop. There's been a commercial on TV for it for weeks and every time she'd see the commercial her eyes would light up. So I just ~had~ to get it for her. I have fantastic news- John has a job interview Wednesday! He applied at the 9.11 Ce.nter here (since two people got fired for looking at porn- no joke) on Monday and they called Thursday! I'm so excited for him. It would be wonderful if he gets the job because then we won't have to worry about when his unemployment would be ending! In other news I have scheduled my next tattoo- I am super excited to add some new ink to my collection. My appointment is two weeks from yesterday which was surprising because usually I have to wait at ...
