I really was going to try to keep up with whole blogging thing but I've totally been sucking. I just have no ambition. Both of the girls are doing great. Delilah just finished preschool today. We had a rough start but it got better. And then she went back to the crying beforehand and giving John issues. She was very happy to learn today was her last day and promptly requested she go to a new preschool. Which she will be in September. Agap.eland! I am so excited for her to begin there. I think (hope) she'll like it a lot more and she'll learn lots of new things. I just hope we don't have the same issues with the new place as we did with the old place. Tatum is growing in leaps and bounds. Recently she's been trying to blow bubbles with the bubble toy grammy got her. Let me tell you about our weekend... this past Saturday was my darling Tatum's first birthday. I cannot believe she is already one. I feel like I just carried her up the steps to our home to start our life as a family of 4 together. That morning started out decently but quickly went to crap. I was waiting for my niece to get dropped off to go to Michael.s and look for foam letters to finish up the poster I made starting with Tatum being born and going in 3 month increments to 12 months. I had run out of certain letters & numbers. I also needed to stop and get Tatum a first birthday balloon. Any way I thought my niece was coming for 9:00 but when 9:00 came and went and then 9:30 I was wondering when the heck she was going to be here. I called my parents to see if they were going to be here soon so I could run out and get the stuff I needed. They were on the way. Ok so I'm a liar... I haven't made any attempt to blog at all. I don't have the ambition between working all day and coming home and trying to figure out which projects I have to get done when. Of course those projects are self imposed and I could carve out time to blog but I just don't. I'm going to update one by one: Me- the past 3 months I've been having a heavy cycle. Prior to starting my cycle up again after having Tatum I was contemplating something called endometrial ablation. It stops your lining from growing and so no period. But then I read about having to be on birth control. I didn't know if that would apply to me since I got a tubal ligation but I dropped it. Anyway after my 3rd heavy period I decided to see the doctor about it and inquire as to whether they would do the ablation after all. As I drove in the day of my appointment I thought to myself 'I'm wasting my time going. They're just going to tell me I have to take birth contr...

Here I am being a bad blogger already after just starting back up again... I just can't find much time to do it. I have a bunch of knitting projects going on- too many to even begin to fathom in my head LoL The bad part about it only 1 of them is for one of the girls- Delilah... it was supposed to be a Christmas present but turned in to an Easter present. The other bad part about that is I don't have anything in the works for Tatum- planned sure, but in the works, no. I figure it might be easiest to do things like this: Tatum- She's been growing like a weed, developing amazingly. At her last pediatrician appointment she was 20 lbs 12 oz and 28.4" tall. She didn't need shots but she did need to be tested for anemia and lead poisoning. They said they would send me to an outpatient lab (boo) so they could do both the tests instead of subjecting Tatum to a finger stick at the office there & another at the lab. Ok so I'm going to give this blogging thing a shot again. It just kind of fell by the wayside after having Tatum and I just haven't had the ambition to write anything. So let's start this off with saying I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. We sure did! I can't believe it's over already though. All the build up and anticipation, the wrapping of the presents & the excitedness over presenting them to the girls on Christmas morning... all gone in a matter of minutes. But the looks on their faces as they opened their presents was priceless. Well on Delilah's anyway- Tatum could've cared less LoL After we opened presents here we went to my mom & dad's. Let me just say that the whole taking turns opening presents went out the window quite quickly LoL Especially if we wanted to have lunch at any time that day. After presents were opened, lunch was eaten and a nap taken (me and Tatum that is) Delilah, John & I went outside so Delilah could show...

I've been a terrible blogger lately. I feel like even though there are things going on there's really nothing to say. Plus I just wasn't in the mood to blog. I should just try to do one every Sunday or every other Sunday... but heck I don't even write that much in Tatum's journal. After tomorrow I will try to put up a blog... no promises though.

It's been a couple weeks since I've written so I thought I better get to it. I mean to blog well before the weeks pass by and the time has been long since I posted but it just gets away from me. Let's see on the 4th of July we put Tatum in her Bumbo for the first time. She really likes it in the Bumbo- she loves sitting up. She always tries to sit up when we lay her down. Delilah wasn't too keen on the whole that's Tatum's Bumbo now- she wanted to use it too and insisted that it was hers. We even had to have a little chat with her that the Bumbo is Tatum's and she can use it too but only when Tatum is done. Which lead to Delilah insisting Tatum was done with her turn after had just put her in there. On July 9th my mom, the girls & I met Ash and the boys at Halfway Dam. It was Tatum's first time there. She loved the water which was surprising because that water is FRIGID! But I worked my way in very slowly giving myself time to acclimate to the temper...

This week was my 2nd week back to work... it went well and just as fast as the first week. I'm hoping that continues but once I get caught up even more I doubt that's going to happen. I don't want to be there because I want to be home with the girls but I know deep down I could never be a SAHM (that's stay-at-home-mom for those of you not up with the lingo ;-) ). I give everyone who is or ever has been major props. I especially give John major props- he's the best dad ever to our two beautiful babes and I couldn't ask for a better man to be with to raise our daughters. Being at work and not having as much time with them does make me sad but I also think it makes me appreciate them that much more. I don't want to let them go when I get home. I want to just hold Tatum until it's time for bed and even then I don't want to put her down. I want to snuggle Delilah until she falls asleep and even after. I love them so much. I do believe I got Tatum to laug...

Today was my first day back to work. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be- it was kind of nice in a way to be back. Don't get me wrong- I love the girls so much but the last time I was around Delilah so much was when she was first born. Not a 2 1/2 bull-headed little girl. Last week was pretty busy- Monday we went to Knoebels (or Gnoebels as Delilah would say), Tuesday was Tatum's 3 month photo shoot (thanks Auntie Ashley!), Wednesday I don't remember anything other than going to Target, Thursday we visited John's parents and went to supper with Ash n the boys, Friday my Grandma, Great Aunt, and Great Uncle came over to visit and meet Tatum. Saturday was an amazing day with my mom- we took Delilah to Reptile Land to see the dinosaurs. She said she wanted to go when she saw a commercial on TV for it. I wasn't sure how she'd handle it- I figured she'd get scared. I was right. She made me carry her through the entire dinosaur area. She really enjoyed t...

Monday the four of us went to my parents' house for a Memorial Day cookout. The food was cooked to perfection since we had our professional chef back- John! He grills everything so well it puts my dad's grilling to shame (sorry dad!). After lunch John took Delilah outside where she decided she wanted sprayed by the house. So we stripped her down to her undies and turned the hose on her. It wasn't long until she wanted the undies off too- our little nudist LoL Tuesday was Tatum's 2 month pediatrician appointment with her new pediatrician. Due to an interview I had to re-schedule Tatum's initial appointment. She was supposed to go June 2nd but then we got a call the day of my interview from the dr. office saying her pedi wasn't going to be in until June 13th. They rescheduled her again for June 24th- she'd be 3 1/2 months old and just be having her 2 month appointment. John said no way, time to switch- to which I agreed. Gosh I feel like I never have anything to blog about anymore- hence the time between posts lately. Let's see- Delilah is completely out of diapers/pull-ups except for nap/bedtime and pooping. She'll only poop in a pull-up and I'm thinking we're going to need to hide them. But on the other hand I don't want her to hold it and become constipated and have a belly ache. How do I get her to poop on the potty?! Tatum has been talking more and more- I just love her coos and babbles. It's like she's telling me this amazing story. Lately she's been trying to sit up from a laying down position. She raises her head up and tries so hard to sit up. Last Wednesday was supposed to be her 2 month pediatrician appointment. I had to reschedule it because I had an interview at the state hospital that I REALLY want- and of course John couldn't take her. I guess he had a legit excuse- he said he wouldn't know any of the answers to the questions the pediatrician would...

Almost a month since I last blogged- where does the time go? What to write about? I have no idea. Basically things are pretty boring. We've just been doing what John does while I work... going to Target for our weekly Target visit, going to the marina when it's nice, visiting John's parents. We've also visited Ash & the boys for some play dates. Other than that it's been low key which is nice since I only get three months with Tatum. Don't get me wrong I know I'm lucky to have the time I do with Tatum but I just wish I could have six months with her. My mom has since stopped coming during the weekends as I can lift Delilah again. It's not too bad actually- I was worried about it but I'm surviving. I've even been able to get them places by myself. Usually just to visit John at work or for our weekly Sunday visit to my parents. Last Saturday I did make a trip to this place called Wendt's Pork Palace (they have yummy wing dings) with Ashley ...
