The Weekend

This weekend was a busy one. Friday after work I took John supper from KFC to start off Father's Day and then went to Mi.chael's to get some yarn for this project I'm working on. Saturday we went to Halfway Dam with Ashley & the boys for some water time fun. It was hot and the perfect day for a swim in the frigid water. We had a great time- thanks Auntie for driving us up and for the fun day in the sun :-) After that we went to visit John at work and took him supper. Sunday I surprised John with a bagel and coffee coolatta from Dunkin Donuts for breakfast then we headed back home to put Delilah down for a nap. After a nice long nap we went to my Pap's for a Father's Day cookout. It was the first year John wasn't there to grill but my dad did a good job. No burnt burgers this time ;-) Then it was back to visit daddy & to take him some yummy burgers, mac n cheese & hotdogs. And today was back to work :-(

We had a great time... even all of that driving and stop at Nan and Peeps afterward. The water was surprisingly not that chill!

I really was going to try to keep up with whole blogging thing but I've totally been sucking. I just have no ambition. Both of the girls are doing great. Delilah just finished preschool today. We had a rough start but it got better. And then she went back to the crying beforehand and giving John issues. She was very happy to learn today was her last day and promptly requested she go to a new preschool. Which she will be in September. Agap.eland! I am so excited for her to begin there. I think (hope) she'll like it a lot more and she'll learn lots of new things. I just hope we don't have the same issues with the new place as we did with the old place. Tatum is growing in leaps and bounds. Recently she's been trying to blow bubbles with the bubble toy grammy got her. Almost a month since I last blogged- where does the time go? What to write about? I have no idea. Basically things are pretty boring. We've just been doing what John does while I work... going to Target for our weekly Target visit, going to the marina when it's nice, visiting John's parents. We've also visited Ash & the boys for some play dates. Other than that it's been low key which is nice since I only get three months with Tatum. Don't get me wrong I know I'm lucky to have the time I do with Tatum but I just wish I could have six months with her. My mom has since stopped coming during the weekends as I can lift Delilah again. It's not too bad actually- I was worried about it but I'm surviving. I've even been able to get them places by myself. Usually just to visit John at work or for our weekly Sunday visit to my parents.
