The Sippy Cup Experiments

We've been trying to work with Delilah on using the sippy cup since it's ~very~ apparent this lil babe won't be taking the bottle... ever. I don't remember what kind we have but they have a rubber spout & John has it rigged up so that she can get water just by tipping it since she doesn't know how to suck on it. Yesterday at Auntie Ashley's, Ash went to give Landon a sippy cup. It's one with a silicone spout that doesn't leak. Water (or whatever you put in it) will only come out when you chew or suck on the end. Auntie let Delilah give it a whirl & Delilah chewed on the end a little- getting some water out I do believe. So, at Walmart today I decided to pick one up since a) the other one isn't working out too well & she just tips it over for the water to come out so she can play in the water mess and b) she just wants to play with it so water will come out & she can play in the water mess LoL When we got home from my parents' we tried it out & it was a hit! I had John take some pics so we could share :-D Thanks Auntie Ashley for introducing us to a different sippy cup :-D

That is the exact sippy cup Lilian has, and she loves it. Lily won't take a bottle either, so when I have to give her water, since it's so hot here in FL, I give her the sippy cup and she'll chew on it and drink.

Gosh I suck

I really was going to try to keep up with whole blogging thing but I've totally been sucking. I just have no ambition. Both of the girls are doing great. Delilah just finished preschool today. We had a rough start but it got better. And then she went back to the crying beforehand and giving John issues. She was very happy to learn today was her last day and promptly requested she go to a new preschool. Which she will be in September. Agap.eland! I am so excited for her to begin there. I think (hope) she'll like it a lot more and she'll learn lots of new things. I just hope we don't have the same issues with the new place as we did with the old place. Tatum is growing in leaps and bounds. Recently she's been trying to blow bubbles with the bubble toy grammy got her. Almost a month since I last blogged- where does the time go? What to write about? I have no idea. Basically things are pretty boring. We've just been doing what John does while I work... going to Target for our weekly Target visit, going to the marina when it's nice, visiting John's parents. We've also visited Ash & the boys for some play dates. Other than that it's been low key which is nice since I only get three months with Tatum. Don't get me wrong I know I'm lucky to have the time I do with Tatum but I just wish I could have six months with her. My mom has since stopped coming during the weekends as I can lift Delilah again. It's not too bad actually- I was worried about it but I'm surviving. I've even been able to get them places by myself. Usually just to visit John at work or for our weekly Sunday visit to my parents.
